Why fundraise for Sight Scotland or Sight Scotland Veterans?
We're here to provide care, learning opportunities and support to transform lives after sight loss. Your support means so much to us and will help us ensure everyone living with sight loss in Scotland can lead a full life of independence.
In return, we can offer you bespoke support on your fundraising journey!
All our fundraisers receive Sight Scotland or Sight Scotland Veterans branded athletic wear for their chosen event as well as support ahead of the event to help you set up and successfully run your fundraising page, so you can raise as much as possible for a good cause. And on the day of the event, our cheer squads will also be there to support you every step of the way.
Accessibility at fundraising events
Sight Scotland and Sight Scotland Veterans are committed to making fundraising events as accessible as possible for everyone. If you are taking part in a third-party event and have a visual impairment or other disability, please get in touch with us in advance and we will do our best to put additional accessibility measures in place to support your participation.
Please note that while we will always try to accommodate your needs, we are unable to provide guided running support for third-party events unless this has been arranged externally prior to the event. If you would like to discuss accessibility support for a fundraising event, please contact Sam at sam.smith@sightscotland.org.uk and we will be happy to help.
Standard or Charity Entry
A Charity Entry means that Sight Scotland or Sight Scotland Veterans covers the cost of your entry fee, so there is no cost to you to enter. In return, we ask that you fundraise for us and meet a minimum fundraising amount of £80.
A Standard Entry means you have to pay the entry fee yourself, which varies depending on the race you choose to take part in. You can still fundraise for Sight Scotland or Sight Scotland Veterans even if you choose this option and there will be no minimum fundraising target.
