Sight Scotland and Sight Scotland Veterans have partnered with the National Free Wills Network to make writing or updating your Will as simple as possible.
Through this partnership, we work with solicitors across Scotland to provide in person, online and phone appointments to write or update your Will for free. Any simple Will or mirror Wills can be written or updated in this way.
After taking care of your family and friends, we'd be incredibly grateful if you considered leaving a gift in your Will to Sight Scotland or Sight Scotland Veterans. No matter the size of your gift, you can make a real difference to the lives of people with sight loss in Scotland.
Create a Will that's right for you in three easy steps:
Step one
Register your interest by putting your contact details into our online referral form, or by contacting our Fundraising team. Through the registration, you can choose to receive your welcome pack digitally or by post. We offer large print by default, but if you need another accessible format, please reach out to our Fundraising team.
Step two
Get in touch with the best solicitor option for you. Your welcome pack will include up to 6 local solicitors that you can go to in person, and up to 6 that offer remote appointments either online or over the phone. Once you choose your solicitor, you become their direct client. We ask that you take this step within 90 days of receiving your welcome pack.
Step three
Write and finalise your Will with your solicitor’s support. Your solicitor will discuss your situation and your wishes, and ensure the Will fully caters for your needs.
