At Sight Scotland we believe everyone with sight loss deserves the opportunity to lead a good life. We know that over the next few decades, the number of people in Scotland impacted by sight loss that affects their independence is set to double to an estimated 340,000.
So it’s vital that we work to deliver real positive change to the lives of people living with sight loss and blindness. To do this we know that we need to make sure that laws and policies include, and are shaped by, people impacted by sight conditions.
With a focus on education, care and outreach support, our dedicated policy team develop evidence-based research and publications to influence government and key decision-makers.
We regularly produce a range of publications and briefings grounded in research on the key issues that affect people who live with a visual impairment.
