How can your company help?

Our mission is to support, campaign and research for people affected by visual impairment, to ultimately realise our vision of an inclusive Scotland where people of all visual abilities have the opportunity to thrive. You can be part of this mission by supporting us at your workplace.

The number of people who are blind or partially sighted in Scotland is set to increase by 30,000 in the next decade to over 200,000.

Now is a great time to partner with us; we’ve never needed your support more.

Employee fundraising

Payroll giving

If you’re looking to do more good this year, consider setting up a payroll giving account.

This easy way to support your favourite causes is also tax efficient, meaning it costs you less, but Sight Scotland or Sight Scotland Veterans gets more - for every £8 you donate as a standard rate tax payer, we receive £10! Many companies also match or contribute to employee’s gifts, making your generosity go even further.

Speak to your payroll team today about signing up to support Sight Scotland or Sight Scotland Veterans directly from your salary.

Charity of the year

Many workplaces ask staff to nominate a good cause each year.

If you’d like to nominate Sight Scotland or Sight Scotland Veterans, we can give you information, photos and stories to support a nomination. Even if you don’t have a formal partnership arrangement with us, we'd still be happy to have your support.

Business owners

If you own and run your business, you could promote your products or services by making a donation on every sale.

You could also ask customers to make a discretionary donation to join you in supporting Sight Scotland or Sight Scotland Veterans - one of Scotland’s oldest charities helping to tackle vision loss.

Charity partners

Charity partners Sigma Capital Group and Simple Life Homes recently brought the joy of music and movement to Sight Scotland Veterans by supporting the delivery of DanceSing sessions at the charity’s Linburn and Hawkhead Centres.

Niamh Waldron, Social Impact & Sustainability Director, Sigma Capital Group Limited, commented:

“Sigma was delighted to donate £5,000 and to offer further support through membership and access to danceSing’s online health and wellbeing platform for all staff and veterans. A workshop and training session filled with fun and movement at Linburn was followed by a similar day at Hawkhead Centre. In addition, we gifted custom danceSing radios, enabling everyone to enjoy daily music designed to enhance listening and mood throughout the day."
