A workplace where everyone can thrive
We're committed to the pursuit of inclusion and diversity in our workplaces. We want to create a working environment that is representative of and responsive to different cultures and groups, and where everyone has an equal chance to succeed.
Find out what we're doing to make sure that happens.
Colleague Diversity and Inclusion Forum
All colleagues at Sight Scotland and Sight Scotland Veterans are invited to get involved in our Colleague Diversity and Inclusion Forum.
The Forum meets regularly, giving colleagues an opportunity to have their say, contribute ideas, and suggest future discussion topics on areas we can explore or improve.
These discussions help us ensure that our policies, procedures and practices fully support our commitment to creating an equal and diverse workplace for colleagues.
We're proud to be a Disability Confident Employer
Our Disability Confident Employer status was awarded in recognition of our commitment to being an employer of choice for disabled people.
What this means
Disability Confident Employers are recognised as going the extra mile to make sure disabled people get a fair chance. We are commited to taking actions that will make a difference for disabled people. This includes things like:
Making our recruitment inclusive and accessible.
Communicating our vacancies.
Offering an interview to disabled people.
Providing reasonable adjustments which support disabled people in work.
Supporting our existing employees.
We report on our gender pay gap and equalities, to help us track our progress and spot what actions need to be taken to support our commitment to being an inclusive employer.
