New Chair for Royal Blind and Scottish War Blinded

Michael Craig has taken on the role of Chair at Royal Blind and Scottish War Blinded from today (5 December 2019).

Michael has been a member of the Board since 2014 and has most recently been Convener of the Finance and General Purposes Committee.

He takes over from Gwenn McCreath, who joined the Board in 2010, was Vice Chair from October 2013 and has been Chair for the last five years. We thank Gwenn for her tremendous support and contribution to the organisation over the last nine years.

Michael is an experienced manager, trustee and actuary who is an expert at working collaboratively with others to communicate and implement change within an organisation.

He played a key role in a number of Standard Life's major corporative initiatives, including the demutualisation of the company. Michael has a passionate focus on service quality and proven strategic and interpersonal skills. He is a team player who seeks to nurture and encourage others. We welcome him to the position of Chair.
