We need your help to raise vital money and tackle vision loss together.
There are lots of ways you can raise money for Sight Scotland.
Whatever you decide to do, remember we are here to support you every step of the way with ideas and advice.
Here are some ideas to get you started:
Game night
Are you a lover of board games? Get your friends together to play Scrabble, Monopoly or any game you fancy and ask participants for a small donation.
Run a pub quiz
Gather your favourite teammates and get quizzical. You can either nominate a quiz master for the night, or perhaps each team can create their own round? Remember to set up a fundraising page and charge each team to enter.
Host a coffee morning
Put the kettle on and host a coffee morning with friends and family. You can do this at home, at work or even online!
Get active
Walk 10,000 steps a day, or via the West Highland Way! Be creative to get those steps and remember to post pictures and encourage friends and family to sponsor you or perhaps even join in.
Drop us a line!
We can help with t-shirts, posters, home money boxes and other materials for the day.

Tips on organising events:
Event type: Invite your friends and family to your very own coffee morning
Host your very own coffee morning at home, work or even a church hall. Invite as many people as you want, ask for a donation and help us tackle vision loss.
Good steps to follow:
- Set a date and remember to include the time.
- Decide where to host the event, either home, work or at a venue.
- Contact local supermarkets as they can be very generous with cake donations, tea, coffee and sugar.
- Ask friends and family to bake cakes.
- If you are holding a raffle, remember to get raffle ticket books and ask for donations.
- Lastly, don’t forget to invite everyone you know!

Event type: Let's get quizzical
As the darker nights draw in, this is the perfect time to host your very own quiz night. Invite your friends, colleagues and family, ask for a donation and help us tackle vision loss. You don’t need to be a brainiac to run a quiz – just some fun questions and a bit of organisation.
Good steps to follow:
- Set a date and remember to include the time.
- Decide where to host the event – either home, work or at a venue.
- Questions don’t have to be too difficult; think about your audience and perhaps do a themed quiz? Remember to include a fun round!
- Offer refreshments – maybe a pop-up bar or 'bring your own bottle'?
- If you are holding a raffle, remember to get raffle ticket books and ask for donations
- Lastly, don’t forget to invite everyone you know!
