Customer Service Administrator (Maternity Cover) - Internal Applicants Only

We are looking for an organised, efficient and professional person to join our team as a full time Customer Service Administrator on a fixed term contract covering maternity leave.

You will be responsible for providing effective administrative and financial support to the Customer Service Team. Duties include order processing, invoicing, purchase ordering and database management.

You will have recent experience of working in a commercial customer service environment. You will have excellent organisational and administration skills as well as strong interpersonal skills. The ability to pay attention to detail and communicate effectively together with a flexible approach to working practices is required.

The Scottish Braille Press, part of Sight Scotland, is a leading UK provider of accessible media - transcribing documents for a wide range of clients into braille, large print and audio formats.

Community Worker (Edinburgh) - Internal Applicants Only

We are looking for caring, creative, forward thinking and dedicated people to join our Older People Support Service within the Community Services team at Sight Scotland, the new name for Royal Blind.

We aim to reduce the isolation and anxiety often felt by those with sight loss, while improving confidence to live well with visual impairment now and in the future.

The service will provide support to individuals impacted by sight loss by adopting a person-centred approach ensuring they are fully equipped to adapt to the changing world around them.

This is a temporary position, initially for 18 months based in Edinburgh with regular travel throughout the Lothians. Applicants should have an SVQ level 3 Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards), or another professional health or social care qualification.

Braille Proofreader

We have exciting opportunity for a part-time Braille Proofreader to join our friendly team within the Scottish Braille Press. You will provide a proof reading service of original material into accessible formats and ensure jobs are proofread and dispatched to our customers meeting their high standards.

If you have the ability to read braille quickly and accurately as well as having great attention to detail and an ability to maintain a good concentration level we would love to hear from you.

The shift pattern for this role is Mon-Thu 07:45-11:45 although we can be flexible. The ability to do reasonable overtime would be advantageous.
