John and Irene have shown age is no barrier to getting involved with the Virtual Kiltwalk.

John, aged 89, and Irene, aged 81, donned their tartans and completed laps of Braeside House care home recently.

Both John and Irene live with visual impairment. John has macular degeneration and Irene has glaucoma. The pair were supported by our amazing staff, who kept them both on track on their individual walks and cheered them along too.

Well done John and Irene, and thank you for taking part!

John and Irene were fundraising for our charity, Sight Scotland.

If you'd consider supporting Sight Scotland, the best way to do so is with a regular monthly donation.  Monthly donations enable us to plan ahead and ensure funds are available when they are needed most. Regular donations give us a consistent income that we can predict.

Visit our Monthly Donation page to learn how to set up a regular donation.
